H&M x Mantsho by Palesa Mokubong collaboration collection launches instore today. Last night the Swedish fast-fashion retailer and South African fashion designer hosted an industry celebratory gathering in honour of the milestone partnership. That offers Mantsho export distribution across H&M’s e-tailers and retail stores in South Africa, the US, Mexico, Chile, the UK, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain and Israel. To sum it up, real estate global touchpoints. Whilst H&M earns a bold and colourful streak on the diversification of their portfolio and brag rights.

Whilst it is not an easy feat to compete with print. The Mantsho print motifs which are a collaboration between Palesa and her brother, Mojalefa Mokubung are distinctive and now will become more easily identifiable which aids in the consumer-brand connection.
The collection which Mokubung themed “love letter to the world from Africa” is a delightful transitional punch of pieces that can be used as accents or mix-and-match clatch prints staples. Minimalist at its modesty and maximalist at its most flamboyance.

There are blouses, dresses, pants, kimonos,  a sweater, footwear and accessories. The price range for this collection is between R599 and R1 599. The power that be are still on a quest to democratize designer fashion and make it accessible for those with lean purses. The aspirational target market with some buying power.

Last night the room was peppered with an army of Mantsho warrior to witness the evolution of the designer fashion brand which has been evolving and revolving for the past 15 years in the South African clothing industry.

Mazel Tov on your achievements Mokubung and kudos to the team who made it happen and will continue to be there with you on your journey.
