EMKHATHINI is a powerful psychological theatre piece written by Nhlanhla Mazibuko, directed by Bongani Dlamini performed by the Alexandra Youth In Action. The high energy and enchanting afro choreography by Sipho Mqotsha whilst the music was arranged by Sanele Mzimela and performed by Aye Voices featuring Pretty Ngcobo and Yonela Mabaleka.

Emkhathini is driven by breath-taking music and dance that takes you through two worlds of ancestral kingdoms. The play portrays the mysterious world in the afterlife, a world of ancestors and their connection to the living, nature and God. It is educational with a storyline that is easy to follow and highlights the conflicts and misconceptions the society still struggles with when it comes to the subject of ancestral calling and religion.
